THE PROJECT: This is a Grundtvig project, that is Life Long Learning for adult people, financed by the European Union. The promoting subject is AICCRE Emilia-Romagna, who’s organising the activities in collaboration with the Municipality of Scandiano.
THE PARTNERS: The partners are:
• Chemnitz – Germany;• La Coruña – Spain;• Gand – Belgium;• Liberec – Czech Republic;• Lublin – Poland;• Celje – Slovenia.
THE MAIN GOALS: Thank to the contact and the exchange with the European mates and to a 360 degrees analysis of the peculiarities that characterize each country, we try to tear down both physical and psychological barriers that make intercultural dialogue more difficult. In particular, the chosen topics for year 2011-2012 are the Slovenian, Czech and Belgian cultures. Furthermore, we investigate, on both local/national and transnational level, some issues of common interest, in collaboration with experts and scholars. We talk about Europe, food & nutrition and intergenerational relationships.
THE METHODOLOGY: The project is based on the assumption that informal learning is a shared process of knowledge building, so, to make the "whole thing work", everybody must participate actively to the best of his/her possibilities and must be heavily committed in order not to waste this opportunity.
THE ACTIVITIES: The tools through which we carry out our investigation are:
• "
English in small bites": English classes aimed at acquiring basic skills and competences to communicate with the European mates and write short essays;• ICT and Digital Photography, to be able to use the new technologies and share the experiences (participation to the European Week of Photography 2012); • notions on the EU and the process of integration (with a study-visits to the European Parliament in Brussels); • workshop on several topics; • study-visits and field work on the territory and final meeting in Gent (Belgium) in May 2012.
